Well...almost. Today we're participating in Tablescape Thursday hosted by the Tablescaper with the Mostest, Susan at Between Naps on the porch. This should be a spectacular event with loads of inspiration for all those who want to do something extra-special for their most loved. I must apologize for picture quality this week. Our camera took an unexpected dive from the hands of an inquisitive little one
As I've mentioned before, I am an avid collector of vintage linens. I drool over hankies, swoon over teacloths, and if you show me a trousseau bedset I may faint on you.
But show me anyway
Please...I need a linen fix
A napkin. I'll take it. This soothes my soul

I love this cloth.
I wish it were larger, but when I think of the work that was involved and the hours spent on the fine filet and threadwork, I think it's absolutely perfect.

Turned sideways at the end of our large dining room table, it sets the tone for a perfect romantic evening for two.
That's if you pretend you don't here the 3 ruffians eating in the kitchen and arguing over the last slice of pizza
Grandma's silver. Appropriately named First Love
Are you feeling it?
Just listen to the bird sing..

Raspberry Chocolate Bars and Candy Hearts
Mango Cream Meringues- light and ethereal
Mmmm..Strawberries bathed in Chocolate
But these little gems hold a luscious surprise
A filling of Ricotta and Mascarpone infused with Grande Marnier
hidden beneath the silky chocolate
Sugar, dear?
Do you think that some sweet young girl was dreaming of her one true love as she stitched these lovely napkins. How many hours spent wondering if he would be tall, dark, and handsome?
A heart shaped glass bowl will hold a creamy soup swirled with creme fraiche
Evening falls, the candles are lit
Is there anything more beautiful than candlelight flickering on crystal?
Maybe
What does he see?
Thank you for visiting. we love seeing you. We'll be linking to Foodie Friday this week with the Meringue recipe and maybe more.
